International Evangelist Franklin A Burns is founder and president of Burns Ministries International. Franklin began his pulpit ministry at the age of 14 and has been preaching the Gospel for more that 50 years now. Franklin married Doris Stanley and they began their ministry together 47 years ago.

In 1969, Franklin and his family were directed of God into missionary work and for the past 39 years they have labored for God on foreign soil. Franklin served as district superintendent for the North Coast of Colombia, South America. Together founded and directed Bible schools and have served as pastors of several churches. The main thrust of this ministry is new church evangelism, pioneering and planting new churches. Countries in South America, Central America, as well as Mexico, South Africa and Canada, have felt the impact of this ministry.

These efforts have resulted in 46 strong, indigenous churches. After weeks or even months of evangelistic crusades drawing up to 25,000 people, a church would be established complete with pastor and building. There have been at least 150 other churches started from these by the people themselves. Some of these churches have run in the thousands.

Recently, Franklin and Doris were presented with a beautiful plaque from the Assemblies of God of the North Coast of Colombia, honoring Franklin for serving as the first Superintendent and for beginning the new works 36 years ago. Many of the pastors are their spiritual sons and daughters.

In the 1980’s, Franklin and Doris hosted their own TV program, “International H.E.L.P.” which aired on Channel 39, Dallas, TX, channel 15, Mobile, Alabama and in the valley of Texas. It was a huge success. The programs were filmed on the mission fields and they have since appeared on networks of television shows, which include TBN and Daystar.

Franklin has written a Crusade Workbook for Church planting and New Church Evangelism. It is a manual which teaches you the practical things to do and not to do.

Franklin and Doris have a passion for lost souls and are taking revival wherever they go. God is healing the sick, delivering the captives and saving souls. They have been through wars, violence and all kinds of sickness (Doris suffered cancer and total kidney failure) but God has been faithful every time. Signs and wonders follow their ministry.

Franklin and Doris have 2 married daughters and 3 grandchildren. The daughter, son-in-laws and grandchildren are all serving in ministry.
